Our Remodeling Warranty
Your remodel should serve your home well for years to come. At Lamont Bros. Design & Construction, “Build Things That Last” guides how we approach our work, from planning and material selections to installation.
Our limited workmanship warranty provides three years of coverage from the date of Substantial Completion, subject to your contract’s terms. Here’s what that means and how to reach us if a concern comes up.
What Does Our Warranty Cover?
Our warranty covers Lamont Bros.’ workmanship when installing products designed to last longer than three years. It provides a way to address covered installation defects after construction is complete.
Workmanship coverage is separate from a manufacturer’s product warranty. Understanding that distinction helps you know which coverage applies if something needs attention.

Manufacturer and Product Warranties
Specific products and systems may carry manufacturer warranties, including 10-year or lifetime coverage. The length, requirements, and exclusions depend on the product.
Appliances and equipment, such as refrigerators, ranges, and dishwashers, are covered by their manufacturers’ warranties rather than our limited workmanship warranty.
Keep your product documentation and follow the manufacturer’s care instructions. During planning, ask your Design Consultant about coverage for the products you’re considering.
What Isn’t Covered?
Our limited warranty does not cover maintenance, temporary repairs, or normal wear and tear. It also excludes damage caused by misuse, neglect, inadequate maintenance, or insufficient ventilation and humidity control.
Other exclusions include expected material deterioration, warping or shrinkage within industry standards, soil movement or settling, weather-related damage, and damage caused by homeowners or third parties. Earthquakes, floods, fires, animal damage, and lightning are also excluded.
Work performed to repair an existing leak is not warranted. Although we make every effort to identify and resolve the source, we cannot guarantee that a repair will eliminate an existing leak.
Housing and living expenses are not covered if you need to move out during covered repairs.
How to Report a Warranty Concern
If you notice a potential defect, contact Lamont Bros. within two weeks, before contacting another contractor or having someone visit to evaluate or repair it.
You can reach us through any of these options:
- Submit your concern through your Buildertrend portal.
- Contact your Design Consultant.
- Contact your Project Manager.
- Call our front desk at (503) 713-5335.
Our warranty process is managed through Buildertrend, and our team reviews warranty claims once a week to stay on top of reported concerns and coordinate next steps. This regular review helps keep requests visible and moving forward.
Include a description, when you first noticed the issue, and photos if available. These details help us understand what needs attention.
Lamont Bros. does not reimburse work performed by another contractor hired by the homeowner to evaluate or repair our work.
