How much does a whole-home remodel cost with Lamont Bros.?

Whole-home remodels with Lamont Bros. typically range from about $150,000 for an essential refresh of a mid-size home to $600,000 or more for a custom luxury remodel with structural changes and a finished basement.

The Lamont Bros. whole-home cost calculator groups projects into three finish levels:

• Essential Refresh: updated finishes in the existing layout
• Full Remodel: new materials with some layout changes
• Custom Luxury: premium materials and structural freedom

Most Portland-area whole-home remodels cover 1,500 to 3,500 square feet. The finish level, whether walls and layout change, and how much of the work involves the kitchen, bathrooms, and basement drive the price. These ranges include Lamont Bros.' design team and a dedicated superintendent, and Lamont Bros. recommends a 10 to 15 percent contingency for surprises in older Portland homes.
